TROPOX, DigiZerocarbon Corp, and Taiwan Perovskite Solar Corp. Unite Under Promate Group to Launch “Chiedong ZERO,” Taiwan’s First Perovskite Zero-Carbon Factory

Taipei, October 4, 2024 (from https://www.bis5cloud.com/post/20241001001)

Taiwan’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) number over 1.63 million, accounting for more than 98% of all businesses. Among these, approximately 8.88%—around 145,000 companies—belong to the manufacturing sector. With growing global concern about carbon emissions, these enterprises are facing multiple challenges, including the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), carbon fees, and rising energy costs. To stay competitive and meet international environmental standards, businesses must transition to low-carbon production and low-carbon factories.

Advanced Technology Application:

  • Advanced Technology Application: “Chiedong ZERO,” located in Hsinchu, is the first perovskite zero-carbon factory in Taiwan, built by Taiwan Perovskite Solar Corp. This factory integrates research and development, manufacturing, and a net-zero demonstration site, marking a significant milestone in Taiwan’s solar industry. Its design concept revolves around four key elements—“energy creation, energy storage, energy saving, and intelligence”—which collectively drive innovative green energy applications. The “Chiedong ZERO” factory features the latest “Mercury II” perovskite solar pilot line, quadrupling production capacity while providing full module manufacturing capabilities. These technologies not only enhance power generation efficiency but also offer advantages such as transparency and flexibility, representing a critical technology for future energy transition.

  • Real-Time Energy Monitoring:Through the TROPOX energy management system provided by Promate Group, the factory can monitor electricity consumption and carbon emissions in real time. This not only aids in energy-saving and carbon-reduction management but also offers insights and metrics for improving energy-consuming equipment, guiding the next generation of production lines in achieving better energy performance.

  • Three-in-One Digital Carbon Inventory Methodology: DigiZerocarbon Corp provides a three-in-one digital carbon inventory service that combines ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems, ISO 14064 Greenhouse Gas Inventory, and ISO 14067 Product Carbon Footprint Inventory. This methodology helps enterprises identify key energy-consuming equipment and formulate energy-saving strategies, making carbon reduction more effective. In cooperation with Systex, DigiZerocarbon Corp employs the Vital NetZero cloud platform for digital carbon inventory. This collaboration aims to help enterprises manage carbon emissions more efficiently while complying with international standards. Vital NetZero is a compliance and management collaboration platform supporting ISO 50001 and other relevant standards, enabling businesses to digitalize and automate carbon inventory processes.
