Promate Group (Stock Code: 6189) has been named in Business Weekly’s newly released “Top 100 Carbon Competitiveness” list, becoming one of only two electronic distribution companies to be honored. This ranking evaluates publicly available data across various industries—such as carbon emissions, stock performance, and carbon-reduction measures. In 2023, Promate Group achieved a notable reduction in its Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions compared to the previous two years, earned additional credits for its disclosures in Categories 3 through 6, and demonstrated steady progress in carbon management through the deployment of its TROPOX-branded smart meters and hybrid energy monitoring and management system solutions.

During today’s (27th) award ceremony, Promate Electronics was recognized as one of the leading enterprises in driving green transformation and low-carbon operations. This honor not only underscores Promate Group’s unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability but also highlights its outstanding performance in carbon-reduction innovation and execution.
“We are deeply honored to receive Business Weekly’s ‘Top 100 Carbon Competitiveness’ award today,” said CEO Cheer DU.
“This recognition is a testament to the collective efforts of all our employees and partners. We will continue to drive business growth through innovation, actively invest in low-carbon transformation, and contribute to the global net-zero emissions goal.”
Adding to this, Chief Strategy Officer Andy Chen remarked:
“This award reflects our proactive approach to carbon-reduction strategies, encompassing enhanced energy efficiency, sustainable supply chain development, and more precise management of carbon emissions. Since 2022, the Group has implemented a self-directed carbon-reduction plan—promoting simple measures like turning off unused lights, recycling waste, and going paperless—though our initial energy-saving results were limited. We realized we lacked a clear visualization of energy usage; relying solely on utility bills from Taipower made it difficult to pinpoint inefficiencies. Through participation in the ‘Zero Carbon University’ held by the Taiwan Digital Enterprise Association, we not only learned the fundamentals and operational details of ISO 50001 and ISO 14064, but also spurred our R&D team to develop modular smart meters and a cloud-based energy management system. These innovations were subsequently commercialized under our Group’s TROPOX sub-brand, offering enterprises the newest solutions for both energy and carbon management. This transition not only enhanced our own energy management efficiency but also reduced the hidden costs related to energy and carbon management, enabling us to launch carbon-reduction programs even earlier. Looking ahead, we will continue deepening these strategies—particularly focusing on four pillars: intelligent solutions, energy creation, energy storage, and green energy—so as to drive sustainable development across the industry.”
A Sustainable Future Ahead
Promate Group will continue to concentrate on sustainability-focused technologies and innovation, strengthening its carbon emissions and energy management while actively participating in international climate initiatives. By pursuing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) targets, Promate aims to expand its positive impact. In 2025, the Group will maintain its ISO 14064 carbon inventory verification to ensure accuracy, transparency, and reliability of its emissions data, thereby furthering its carbon-reduction strategy and promoting sustainable corporate growth. Promate also plans to implement ISO 50001 to reduce energy consumption, advancing comprehensive energy optimization and paving the way toward global net-zero goals. Looking to the future, Promate Group will uphold its philosophy of “Innovation, Responsibility, and Shared Prosperity,” creating more eco-friendly, innovative products and serving as a driving force for sustainable development across Taiwan’s industries.
