Promate Electronics (6189) has secured a spot on Business Weekly’s latest “Top 100 Carbon Competitiveness” list, making it one of only two electronic distribution companies to be recognized. This ranking is based on publicly available information regarding carbon emissions, stock performance, and carbon reduction initiatives across various industries, effectively highlighting these companies as “Team Taiwan” in the global drive for sustainability.
Continuous Gains in Carbon Reduction Efforts
Promate Group’s 2023 carbon emission data showed a significant decrease compared to the previous two years, earning additional points in relevant disclosure categories. Furthermore, by introducing the Group sub-brand TROPOX smart meters and a hybrid energy monitoring and management system, Promate Group demonstrated consistent advancement and outstanding performance in carbon reduction initiatives.
During the awards ceremony on November 27, Promate Electronic CEO, Cheer Du, took the stage to accept the honor. She noted that being named among Business Weekly’s “Top 100 Carbon Competitiveness,” and thereby recognized as a leader in green transformation and low-carbon operations, validates the collaborative efforts of all employees and partners. Promate will continue to drive corporate development through innovation, actively engage in low-carbon transformation, and contribute to achieving global net-zero carbon emissions.

Andy Chen pointed out that this award stems from the company’s proactive carbon-reduction strategies, including enhancing energy efficiency, building a sustainable supply chain, and refining carbon emissions management.
Starting in 2022, the Group implemented a self-initiated carbon reduction plan, such as encouraging employees to turn off lights when not in use, strengthening waste recycling, and promoting paperless operations. However, in the early stages, the lack of real-time visualization for energy consumption—relying solely on Taipower bills—made it difficult to pinpoint problem areas, limiting the effectiveness of energy-saving measures.
Later, Andy Chen joined the “Zero Carbon University,” organized by the Taiwan Digital Enterprise Association, where she learned about the principles and execution details of ISO 50001 (Energy Management System) and ISO 14064 (Greenhouse Gas Inventory). This knowledge led the R&D team to independently develop modular smart meters and a cloud-based energy management system, eventually commercializing these solutions under the Group sub-brand TROPOX—offering enterprises both energy and carbon management solutions. During this phase, Promate accelerated its low-carbon transformation, noticeably improving energy efficiency and significantly reducing the hidden costs associated with carbon management.
Beyond Succession: Second-Generation Innovation
In addition to the company’s acknowledgment, Andy Chen was recently listed in Prestige Taiwan magazine’s “40 Under 40 2024,” an annual award that highlights the most active or potentially influential new-generation figures across various sectors.
During his interview with the awarding publication, Andy Chen mentioned she is not content merely to be a “second-generation successor,” but aspires to become a “second-generation entrepreneur.” Going forward, she plans to leverage Promate’s technological capabilities to address societal challenges such as the energy crisis, food crisis, and public health, thereby upholding an innovative spirit while maintaining stable operations. Promate Group will also continue its four-pronged strategy of intelligence, energy generation, energy storage, and green energy—creating more products that coexist in harmony with the environment and driving sustainable development throughout the industry.
